    Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    The position is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to apply their ED management experience in a client account and advisory services management position. This role works collaboratively with numerous hospital clients, including ED/HM/CM Medical Directors, IPS/ED Nurse Directors and hospital administration to enhance inpatient and emergency department performance, patient throughput and identify improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, operations, and patient satisfaction. You will also be developing and helping to implement cutting edge ED/IP/CC solutions, leading ad-hoc projects, analyzing ED/IPS performance metrics and providing practice support to our emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and intensivist physician groups.

    Qualified candidates will have several years of managerial level responsibility in an ED environment, excellent interpersonal, communication, technical and organizational skills and the ability and willingness to travel. The role will be based in the Dallas, TX office.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Facilitates and promotes communication and solid working relationships among client hospitals, physician employees, midlevel providers and ED/IP Leadership Teams.
    • Assists with the development of division strategies and product development.
    • Evaluates facility needs and creates action plans to improve operational and clinical performance.
    • Pursues current innovative information and serves as a resource for national best practices and benchmarks.
    • Functions as a resource for governmental (national, state and local) and legal initiatives such as EMTALA, TJC and CMS.
    • Leads Patient Flow Redesign projects utilizing LEAN for Healthcare methodology.
    • Identifies and implements training needs to improve patient satisfaction and HCAHPS
    • Acts as a consultant to physician leaders in monitoring Quality Assurance and improvement activities to maintain hospital compliance with regulatory agencies.
    • Assists with monitoring and improvement of Core Measures.
    • Assists with research, planning, and the implementation of new services and special projects.
    • Support regional business development strategies related to nurse leader networking and outreach.
    • Acts as a resource to the Nurse Director/Manager and Medical Director providing input into operational, staffing and productivity issues.
    • Provides opportunity for Medical and Nursing Directors to network and collaborate with hospitals nationwide.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

     

    Education/Licensing/Certification:

    • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
    • Current Texas Nursing License

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of healthcare leadership/management experience to include physician relations, quality improvement, and customer service
    • Previous clinical experience in an emergency department setting

     

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Demonstrated ability to lead a professional team in planning and execution of strategic objectives.
    • Ability to produce positive results for the organization. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office products.
    • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills


    Travel:

    • The professional in this position may be required to travel locally, regionally, or nationally to provide consulting services and leadership as needed.
