    Wheaton Franciscan Infusion Pharmacy, an Ascension At Home Infusion Pharmacy, has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Specialty Infusion Nurse Supervisor in Oak Creek area.

     

    Ascension at Home provides comprehensive home-based services across Wisconsin.  Our services include Home Health, Hospice and Home Infusion Therapy. 

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

     

    Supervises daily activities at the branch level.  Depending on the size and circumstances at the branch, may perform patient care duties in addition to supervising and developing staff.

    Responsibilities

    1. Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, state, federal, accrediting body standards and appropriate licensing agencies (i.e., Boards of Nursing, HHA, Medicare Conditions of Participation) and professional standards.
    2. Communicates regularly with all departments including, but not limited to pharmacy and billing office.
    3. Assists in recruiting, hiring and education of new primary nurse case managers.
    4. Plans and organizes orientation and in-service programs for clinical staff members and participates in guidance of clinicians’ professional development.
    5. Assists in the resolution of patient complaints, unusual occurrences and /or accident reports.
    6. Engages in studies and investigations related to improving patient care.
    7. Implements systems to adequately monitor the nursing care/service provided by patients by contract and/or outside nursing agency personnel and nursing agencies.
    8. Assists Ministry Nurse Leader along with RVP with development of Nursing Resource Tactical Plan, including exploration of available internal and external nursing resources, development of strategic agency relationships through agency assessment and management, contract development and in-service education.
    9. Develops implements and maintains systems to ensure timely completion of nursing-related documentation and plan of treatment orders according to policies and procedures.
    10. Utilizes results of clinical activity documentation to determine staffing needs and /or readjustments and submits reports /suggestions to the Ministry Nurse Leader and RVP as directed.
    11. Evaluates and monitors clinical competency of primary nurse case managers.  Assists in coaching and mentoring the professional development of primary nurse case managers.
    12. Maintains clinical proficiency and competence in skills and theory of nutritional support, infusion therapy and infection control by reviewing literature and participating in approved in-services, seminars and conferences undertaken or coordinated.
    13. Serves as primary nurse case manager as needed.
    14. Participates in and/or directs performance improvement and risk management activities as directed.
    15. Serves as process owner of:  Neenah Office Performance Improvement

    Qualifications

    Education/Licensing/Certification:

    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or School of Nursing. 
    • Current RN license in state of practice.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
    • INS, ONS or ASPEN certification preferred.

    Experience:

    • Two (2) or more years of IV related experience and/or equivalent combination of educational experience. 

     

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Strong clinical knowledge and skills.
