    Ministry Home Care, an Ascensin At Home company, is looking for a Per Diem Massage Therapist for the Wisconsin Rapids area.

     

    Massage therapists are responsible for providing excellent, individualized, therapeutic massages to our hospice patients in their homes in accordance with the patient’s plan of care.  Associate should be passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Responsible for providing massage therapy to patients according to written Interdisciplinary Group plan of care.
    • Initiate massage therapy programs and instruct other staff members on these programs and individualized goals.
    • Perform assessments, evaluations and establishes therapeutic and functional goals for clients.
    • Communicate plan of care to attending physician and other organization professionals.
    • Advise the RN case manager on the patient’s response to therapy or changes in condition.
    • Maintain appropriate clinical records, progress notes and reports to physician any changes.
    • Participate in staff meetings, department meetings, team meetings, briefings, in-services, committees and related activities as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education/Licensing/Certification:

    • Licensed massage therapist in the state practicing, graduated from an accredited massage therapy program, and passed the national certification exam.
    • Certification from American Medical Massage Association (AMMA), American Massage Therapists Association (AMTA).
    • Current CPR certification

    Experience:

    • Minimum of two years of massage therapy and experience in a health care setting.
    • Current continuing education 24 hours every 2 years including 2 hours of ethics.

     

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Ability to communicate via cell phone or tablet and learn and utilize cloud – based technology.
    • Understand Hospice philosophy; issues with death and dying.
    • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
    • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
    • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
