    We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Practice Manager II to oversee multiple Neonatology practices for our Women’s & Children’s Services throughout the Region.  This position will be based in our corporate office in Dallas, TX and will require 50% travel to the six hospitals we currently support throughout the DFW area.

    Responsibilities

    You will be responsible for the effective management of all assigned facilities through the deployment of clinical providers; implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and initiatives; and act as primary liaison with Practice Providers, clinical leadership and clients.

     

    This is a great opportunity for the right individual!  Responsibilities will include:

     

    Office Operations:

    • Hire, train, develop, supervise, and evaluate office management and staff.
    • Facilitate adoption of EMR, technology, and tools.
    • Serve as the primary source of contact and communication for Providers throughout the Region.
    • Meet with Providers regularly to review overall office efficiencies and individual Provider metrics (i.e. w RVU’s, visits, etc.).
    • Interface with and coordinate Regional Service Center support services as needed to ensure proper efficiencies in the office (i.e. billing, coding, managed care, provider education, credentialing, finance, etc.). Escalate to Supervisor as necessary.
    • Distribute and ensure adoption of standardized processes, forms, and policies as appropriate.
    • Be aware of local developments and identify potential threats and opportunities. Escalate Provider issues to appropriate Clinical Leadership as necessary.
    • Assist HR in communicating with Providers and staff for benefit enrollment, FMLA, work related injuries, etc.
    • Effectively manage the recruitment process for all open positions at facilities throughout the Region.
    • Initiate and coordinate staff meetings.
    • Serve as liaison with customers including patients, physicians, hospital personnel, and internal customers to assure client satisfaction.
    • Communicate activities, events, and concerns to the appropriate responsible parties.
    • Respond professionally to other operational issues as they arise.
    • Process and track CMEs.

    Financial:

    • Meet with Providers regularly to review metrics and financials.
    • Review financials monthly and report variances to expectation/budget to immediate supervisor in a proactive manner.
    • Participate in annual budget preparation.

    Onboarding and Corporate Operations:

    • Navigate the corporate processing system for new hires; including but not limited to requesting a contract, assuring that all applicable forms from HR, payroll and credentialing are mailed, received, and returned completed.
    • Manage the onboarding process for new Providers/offices by coordinating and leading start-up meetings with all affected departments for acquisitions at least 45 days in advance of start date. Assure compliance with onboarding tools, including OnTrack.
    • Work with appropriate Clinical Leadership when Provider issues arise; keeping upper management informed of key happenings and events.
    • For existing Providers, process all Provider contractual requirements; coordinate employment contract amendments or other changes in provider staffing and compensation; assure generation of proper HR and Payroll forms for various sign-on bonuses, stipends, tails, moving expenses, as well as Employee Advance Request Forms (EARFs) for promissory notes.
    • Interface with corporate resources as necessary including: Physician Support Services, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle Management, and Payroll; to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the practices at each facility. Serve as the primary point of contact for each assigned facility.
    • Where multiple offices exist within the same market, ensure a reasonable level of coordination and interaction with other Practice Managers.
    • Actively participate in Kaizen related events; support, participate in, and implement Lean efforts as required.

    Qualifications

    The following skills are required for consideration:

    • Master’s Degree preferred; Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University and 5 or more years of practice management experience, managing multiple offices or a large physician group as detailed above; or equivalent combination of education and experience as detailed above.
    • Experience in the management of Neonatology specialty practices is a definite plus.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to manage office managers and support staff and work closely with corporate resources.
    • Proficiency in Medical Collection/Payment Recognition, Accounting/Finance, Managed Care Contracting, and Electronic Health Record systems.
    • Capable of making decisions in a rapidly growing, professional, service oriented environment.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
    • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Very strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, project management, and mentoring skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel but also Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Able to travel throughout the region up to 50% of the time.
