    We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Manager of Managed Care Contracting at our offices in Nashville, TN

     

    The Manager of Managed Care Contracting is responsible for supporting the managed care contracting activities within an assigned geography and underlying payer negotiations.  This position does require up to 30% travel.

    Responsibilities

    • Support geographic contract negotiations and underlying payer relationships across enterprise service lines that encompass varied professional and ambulatory surgery center based specialties.
    • Assist in detailed analysis of performance, and provide evaluation, on existing contracts to regional managed care team.
    • Manage multiple concurrent negotiation activities with regional managed care team while leveraging strong project management skills to drive progress on specific market strategies.
    • Support onboarding of new acquisitions, entities and locations, and new provider affiliations to payer contracts.
    • Facilitate maintenance of consolidated contract management system for accurate tracking of reimbursement terms and conditions.
    • Creating and maintaining relationships between operations, clients, and payers related to contract performance.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with financial reports and modeling.
    • Preparing reports and presentations to monitor portfolio performance, yield, payer mix, etc.
    • Attend onsite visits with payers, clients and centers that require market specific strategies.
    • Ability to work in a matrix environment where multiple and competing customer demands are likely.
    • Self-directed with a strong bias for action.
    • Focus on client satisfaction through internal and external communication.
    • Excellent customer relationship / management skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership and/or people management skills.
    • Travel overnight and locally as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

     

    Education/Experience:

    • 5 years relevant experience including team leadership, managed care contracting, financial analysis, payment methodologies, contract language and negotiations.
    • Equivalent experience considered
    • Bachelor’s degree required

    Required:

    • Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and with little supervision
    • Excellent ability to manage to deadlines
    • Ability to positively handle conflict
    • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office applications
    • Position requires overnight travel up to 30% of the time
