    We have an opportunity available for an experienced Analyst, Strategic Pricing & Analytics.  This Analyst will support analytical and reporting activities for the Managed Care Department, coordinating activity with Managed Care, Business Development, Clinical leaders, Provider Enrollment, Finance, and Revenue Cycle Management.  The role reports to the Senior Manager, Strategic Pricing & Analytics with primary responsibility for building expected reimbursement models, forecasting rate guidance for new business, and analyzing utilization data in support of managed care strategy development.



    • Prepare extensive financial analyses and build forecast impact models of proposed contracted rates for payer negotiations using variety of business intelligence tools and platforms including MS Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau reporting.
    • Coordinate efforts with Business Intelligence and Data Integration teams to ensure consistent, comprehensive enterprise-wide data sets for use in contract negotiation analysis.
    • Compile documents for contract negotiations and final approval, i.e. spreadsheets, payment policies, and fee schedules.
    • Analyze business development pro-forma expectations and overlay managed care assumptions reflective of market specific factors in conjunction with the Managed Care Contracting team.
    • Respond to requests for information related to managed care contracts.
    • Independently conduct research, collect and analyze market trends, and prepare reports for presentation and inclusion in ongoing negotiation activities for the Managed Care department.
    • May be required to travel up to 10% when requested throughout the Northeast Region (ME – VA).
    • Will perform other duties as assigned.


    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from a four year College or University highly preferred.
    • Equivalent experience as described above will be considered.
    • 2-3 years’ experience in managed care, preferably with in-depth expertise in contract analysis, revenue cycle, or business office environments.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Experience building financial and statistical models and analyzing complex and large volumes of data in the healthcare space, with depth in medical economics, or revenue cycle, or healthcare billing highly preferred.
    • Utilize data mining tools to effectively assist stakeholders with their data requests.
    • Able to design, develop, and implement routine and custom reporting per stakeholder requirements.
    • Perform acceptance and QA testing on various data models as requested.
    • Knowledge of the Managed Care environment and familiarity with Physician and ASC payor contract language.
    • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, SQL, and other relational databases and reporting tools.
    • Expertise working with business intelligence tools and platforms including Power BI and Tableau reporting highly desired.
