    We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise-level Data Architect located in Nashville, Tennessee or Dallas, Texas.

     

    Responsibilities

    The Enterprise Architect is responsible for supporting and aligning day to day tasks with the defined future-state direction for data and software systems that will evolve our technology strategies, and platforms for End User Computing. This includes optimizing the architecture, strategy and roadmap of our end user technologies.

    • Act as the SME for various IT domains.
    • Assist with creating and maintaining IT as-is architecture, to-be architecture, gap analysis and roadmaps for enterprise entities.
    • Works with Technical and Business teams to ensure application development aligns to business and IT strategy.
    • Partners with the Technology and Infrastructure organizations in determining practical adaptations of enterprise standards through informal feedback sessions.
    • Works with the internal stakeholders to identify technical solutions and business process improvements in support of the business and IT strategic direction; ensures application development supports the business and IT strategies.
    • Interacts with business partners to share and direct architecture practices that may affect business solution delivery.
    • Ensures that platform(s) supported meets the business, technical and infrastructure needs by over-seeing the health and well-being of the technical infrastructure.
    • Ensures that platform and project technical design documentation is completed to a high standard.
    • Provides architectural governance by reviewing projects (Architecture review, Architecture Health check) to ensure alignment to architectural and technical strategy.
    • Creates or documents frameworks, methodologies, standards that the enterprise will leverage across all technologies and businesses.
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
    • Special projects and performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

     

    Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

    Knowledge of new and emerging data and analytics technologies. Experience working and developing in Cloud platforms. Advanced knowledge of architecture frameworks. Extensive knowledge of server & storage hardware, blade & chassis management, virtualization, NIC configurations, capacity management & planning, SAN, IO performance & tuning, and server management & monitoring solutions.

     

    Education/Experience:

     

    BA in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.

     

    Experience:

    Minimum of seven (7) years of systems architecture experience with heavy emphasis on data architecture and data integration. IT healthcare experience preferred.

     

    Mathematical Skills:

     

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.

     

    Language Skills:

     

    Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills through the ability to understand, read, write and speak English at a level appropriate for executive business interactions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to successfully write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors and the general public.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

     

    Ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and correct errors. Ability to understand and interpret basic financial data. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of forms and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

     

    Other Qualifications:

     

    Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Demonstrated leadership of both direct and indirect resources. Demonstrated program and project management experience. Ability to think strategically and successfully solve business and organizational problems.  Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance.
