    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Clinical Informatics located in Nashville, TN.

     

    The Director, Clinical Informatics provides system-wide clinical expertise to implement the enterprise data strategy with the goal of improving and assisting in the delivery of exceptional care and quality outcomes throughout the Envision system. This position will work closely with Envision IT team, Enterprise-wide Analytics team and Clinical leadership to help with the development, deployment, re-engineering, optimization and integration of clinical data systems to support clinicians and patient care through transformational clinical information.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides consultation, and coordination for the transformation of data captured across care processes and outcomes within clinical services provided by Envision.
    • Develop data requirements to measure physician quality metrics such as patient safety, care and service timeliness, effectiveness measures, etc. for consumers.
    • Evaluate current data and informatics requirements to identify gaps and makes recommendations for data points to be captured that can better support the evolution of new care and payment models as well as methods to support seamless care coordination across the care continuum.
    • Serve as the strategic liaison for Evolution Health IT data management efforts representing clinician needs in determining the data to be collected.
    • Combine knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts, and change management to effectively address the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of health IT in clinical settings.
    • Act as a change agent in the identification, development, planning, implementation, and value measurement of data strategies to support quality patient care and professional practice.
    • Maintain relationships with key business partners and other clinical leaders in order to leverage best practices in data capture and knowledge management.
    • Work with clinical and IT leaders in evaluating the effectiveness of technologies and workflows that impact clinical users.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with clinical leaders, information technology, financial services and quality/regulatory/risk management amongst others in the development of high quality and innovative clinical information systems that assist the clinician in their delivery of care.
    • Other duties within the scope of this position as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university required. Minimum seven (7) years of related experience and five (5) years of practical work experience in time-critical, application support or operations environment. Minimum five (5) years of related clinical experience and clinical leadership experience.  Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute setting as a Registered Nurse. 

     

    Computer Skills:

    Microsoft Office Suite and applications

     

    Certifications / Licensures:

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

     

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.

     

    Language Skills:

    Ability to understand, read, write and speak English.  Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to successfully write business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors and the general public.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and correct errors.  Ability to understand and interpret basic financial data.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of forms and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
