Overview

This position is responsible for evaluating need, developing, coordinating, and facilitating delivering of training content for the Payroll Team function related to standard operating process and procedure, technological enhancements, and software implementations.  The position will require collaboration with colleagues for evaluation of root cause trends and patterns for training design focused on continuous development, optimization, efficiency, and compliance within the end-to-end process.  The position will collaborate with change management for effective training execution and requires a strong communication skills and instructional design background with demonstrated expertise in multimedia eLearning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and communicate goals for the training path within the Payroll Team Function.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, People and Culture, Strategy and applicable business partners and stakeholders to select learning and training content, strategy, media, and evaluation methods that promote learning and engage the user.
  • Prepare training documentation to be utilized in applicable content format, including electronic user manuals and quick reference guides.
  • Train adult learners via classroom environment, web conferencing systems, and one-on-one basis. This may include acclimating new hires, developing strategic training content for software implementations and end-to-end process enhancements for continuous development of the team and organization. 
  • Prepare adhoc training content, as needed for time-critical regulatory and compliance updates
  • Shadow users performing their job functions in the software to understand their business processes, challenges with software, and best practices for efficient workflow.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of training by measuring and reviewing key indicators.
  • Achieve and maintain expert-level knowledge of Oracle Cloud software to allow optimal training content.
  • Maintain an advanced level of knowledge related to e-learning tools and technologies and adherence to organizational technology policies to allow role modeling of compliance and best practice
  • Travel to regional locations for technical and business process training as needed (frequency of travel may vary throughout the year).
  • Engagement and inclusion within team activities based on Payroll Team priorities
  • Ability to understand working knowledge of all payroll function systems and end-to-end workstreams
  • Awareness and alignment with company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and core values
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive material
  • Ability to multi-task and lead multiple training content sessions within various states of execution
  • Demonstrate ‘Team-first’ and positive mindset

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, instructional design, business administration or related field
  • Five years of experience in training and development; with a minimum of three years of applicable experience in multimedia eLearning development
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and present proactive solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to strongly communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills, and experience in an adult learning environment.
  • Must be an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player; customer service-oriented professional.
  • Ability to manage workload as independent thinker and contributor with ability to engage learners
  • Must have effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills working with various end users, technical teams, and vendors
  • Proficient in MS office applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Access)
