We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Manager of Teammate Relations!

 

Responsibilities

The Manager, Teammate Relations will serve as the subject matter expert for the Teammate Relations Center of Excellence by conducting workplace investigations, supporting leaders through disciplinary process, and making termination recommendations. As the SME, this role will share insights and provide guidance to the Teammate Relations Advisors and peers on complex issues.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for teammate relations activities through providing guidance to Teammate Relations Advisors as well as supporting the total team by sharing experience and best practices.
  • Conducts workplace investigations in accordance with the company’s process and provides recommendations and guidance.
  • Interprets and applies company policies and state and federal employment laws in partnership with the Sr. Manager of Policy & Compliance.
  • Provides support, coaching, and recommendations to leaders regarding performance remediation and termination.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to stakeholders by providing timely responses, communicating effectively, and conducting prompt investigations.
  • Supports risk mitigation through providing content and data to HR Directors/Business Partners to ensure leaders are trained and informed on Teammate Relations processes.
  • Escalates issues internally as necessary, utilizing legal, compliance, communications, and other HR resources.
  • Timely and accurately records all information pertaining to cases in the system of record.
  • Assists in responses to legal requests including preparation of information for response to EEOC and other filings.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills including advanced communication skills.
  • Ability to develop expert-level knowledge of company policies and teammate relations best practices.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and use independent judgment.
  • Organization, time management, project management and presentation skills.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and track record of high quality, accurate work under significant pressures.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Communicate and interact with leaders, including executives, across the organization as well as mentor, coach and guide them on teammate relations related issues.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University and five or more years of progressive experience in human resources leadership with employee relations responsibility or at least 9 years of combined education and progressive experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Case management tracking software experience preferred.
  • SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Oracle experience a plus.

Certificates and Licenses (if applicable)

  • Workplace Investigation Certifications preferred.
