We have an exciting opportunity available for Operations Business Analyst II!

Responsibilities

The Operations Business Analyst performs a variety of tasks including executive presentations, support of strategic plan execution, business modeling for operation leadership, ongoing operational auditing, and other transactional items in support of the Patient Financial Services Team. In addition, the position supports the business with list management, project management, direct executive collaboration, and ad hoc analytics.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets for leadership
  • Create executive market reports that analyzes and benchmarks internal performances
  • Perform ongoing operational audits by understanding initiative objectives, structure, policies, and processes and identifying risk areas
  • Document and communicate findings by providing information in status meetings and highlighting unresolved issues
  • Utilize systems to consolidate and analyze large amounts of data
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Create ad-hoc models to evaluate specific business issues
  • Develop knowledge of the company’s data structure to allow for easy extraction and manipulation of data to answer various business questions
  • Translate analytical results into creative solutions that enhance performance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reads and abides by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs
  • Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company
  • Obtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so
  • Support and abide by the values of the company

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good critical thinking skills, business acumen and a desire to learn
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively across a matrix environment to support revenue enhancement and expense management initiatives
  • Professional presence with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks and adapt to change
  • Comfortable working with both internal and external customers, as well as with outsourced vendors
  • Strong initiative for enhancing (or developing) reporting processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage a substantial workload
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good understanding of financial modeling and/or budget management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail an ability to identify and fix complexed problems
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and patient account management a plus

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University (Finance, Economics, or Business Degree preferred) with 2 years of related experience
  • Graduate degree, a plus

 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (ability to create and work with pivot tables, LOOKUP functions, IF statements, etc.)
  • Strong experience with MS Office products
  • Experience in SQL, Power BI, and Tableau is a plus.
