We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Sr. Manager of A/R!

Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager of Accounts Receivable will be expected to apply industry leading problem-solving skills to different RCM challenges. Sr. Manager will provide support for day-to-day activities of management team, and staff, of the Accounts Receivable Department. The Primary goal of this role is to ensure the effective collection of Accounts Receivables for all clients and the appropriate processing of denials. In this role the manager will be a direct support to Director of AR, executing assigned initiatives, coordinating with other departments of Post Bill Operations to achieve departmental goals, including budgeted collections, while improving key performance indicators (KPI). Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, coaching, counseling employees; developing, coordinating, and developing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity quality standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor reports for the timely collection of Accounts Receivable, lead denial management efforts, helps to identify their trends and work with other ANES departments on their prevention.
  • Routinely analyze “Agings” and reports to identify A/R problem areas for review.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of inventory (WIP) through the monitoring of reports and team’s daily production.
  • Provides constructive feedback to Accounts Receivable managers regarding their performance via daily verbal communication and yearly written reviews.
  • Provides support and guidance to the Accounts Receivable staff onshore and offshore when questions, escalations and when problems arise.
  • Supports team of AR managers by helping to Solve daily problems, identify potential optimization within each departmental processing, and provides training on the Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Implement the policies and procedures for the department that are delegated by the Director of AR.
  • Delegate appropriately to team, communicate clearly and thoroughly expectations regarding all delegated work.
  • Optimize productivity while avoiding unnecessary costs such as excess overtime.
  • Generate reports and present information to upper-level managers or other parties.
  • Maintain high level of both written and oral communication with internal departments, as well as with outside client contacts and any other insurance plan or agency provider.
  • Obtain clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in finance, accounting, or healthcare administration.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience in managing accounts receivable in large, multi-state, integrated healthcare settings and collections

Computer Experience

  • Microsoft Office
  • Billing systems (e.g., GE Centricity).
  • Spreadsheet, word processing/presentation tools, (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Timekeeping, Payroll, Human Resource Information System tools (e.g.,Kronos, Oracle)
