We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Credentialing Supervisor.

The Credentialing Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of a team consisting of all elements of the Credentialing process. Assists in ensuring the coordination of initial and ongoing compliance with regulatory, state, federal and accreditation standards/requirements. Ensures that development and execution of Credentialing and other provider onboarding functions are in accordance with applicable department policies and procedures. Assists with the daily department operations including training, technical support, mentoring to assure that the credentialing process promotes quality care in an effective manner.  Works directly with Client Services, providers, and external clients to ensure satisfaction and timeliness. Generates performance measures. Sets goals, and monitors performance against goals.

• Supervise the credentialing function and staff.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Credentialing department.
• Develop reports on credentialing activities and recommend improvements to ensure goals are met.
• Analyze, develop, implement, and monitor quality initiatives to achieve healthy outcomes for assigned projects.
• Ensure the credentialing database remains current and accurate.
  Review and update credentialing program descriptions, policies, and procedures
• Monitor critical credentialing activities/processes and update management of issues.
  Ensure compliance with company standards, NCQA or URAC, State and Federal policies and regulations.

• Work closely with applicable networks to determine accuracy and appropriateness of the credentialing status.
• Monitor and notify providers of upcoming expirables, including expiring privileges, licensures, board certifications, MOC requirements and all other state and national required documents necessary for the practitioner to perform under their scope of practice legally and ethically.
• Maintain and update the credentialing database and medical staff services as provider information and credentials change or renew.
• Maintain and update continuing medical education credits and other training requirements.

• Responsible for the expirables process, comfortable creating or adhering to workflows in order to manage these processes.
• Provide performance reports to key customers.
• Handle escalated issues.
• Lead/coordinate smaller projects and special assignments by planning and identifying opportunities for process improvement/efficiency.
• Perform audit procedures, including reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, policies and procedures for accuracy and effectiveness.
• Oversee multiple departmental functions.
• Ability to work with multiple departments.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
• Develop recommendations for corrective action/improvement
• Prepare formal work product summarizing audit outcomes for departmental review on an ongoing and timely basis.
• Track and trend performance of employees.
• Report on irregularities violation of standards of practice compliance.
• Plans and conducts performance appraisals and talent assessments of staff, recommends merits, bonuses and promotions, and administers corrective actions when necessary
• Work independently.
• Provider oversight relative to credentialing/re-credentialing for internal / external processes for all Envision Physician Services Affiliates, Managed Entities and Subsidiaries (to include primary source verification).

• Previous multi - entity system and supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of credentialing
• Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Credentialing Software Knowledge and experience (i.e. Vistar eVIPS, Cactus, EmWorks, etc)
• Understanding of State, Federal, Regulatory Accreditation standards and policies and procedures
• Ability to develop and manage audit controls
• Manage both direct and indirect remote employees and ensure internal controls are followed
• Highly analytical with the ability to demonstrate command of the details and to articulate those details at a higher level
• Work well under pressure
• Achievement-oriented with a positive, results-oriented style
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Very strong written and oral communication skills

Optional, Not Preferred:

• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)through National Association of Medical Staff Services required
