The Credentialing Coordinator II is responsible for ensuring that all providers are processed and credentialed prior to their start dates, i.e., Credentialing support of Employment, Hospital, and Licensing Applications.  The Credentialing Coordinator maintains communication with internal and external customers such as MSO’s, State Boards, and the Clinical Support Service department while ensuring accuracy of the applications for our affiliates and managed entities, and creating efficiencies throughout the on-boarding process. 



  • Complete and review new hires and additional locations/boards for credentialing and re-credentialing applications with accuracy and thoroughness, and within established timeframes, notifiying appropriate parties once received.
  • Ensure that the MSO's (Medical Staff Offices) credentialing database is updated and current.
  • Ensure primary source verifications occur for internal processing and external customers (i.e. MSO’s & State Boards).
  • Provide timely follow-up to obtain documentation required.
  • Credentialing within 180 days, and re-credentialing as required by contracted facilities.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure complete information is received and processed.
  • Ensure credentialing & re-credentialing is processed in accordance with NCQA and company standards.
  • Assist and prepare for NCQA audits as applicable.
  • Adhere to Information Security Policies and ensure that Envision remains as secure as possible.


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2+ year's direct experience as described above.
  • Demonstrated working experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Credentialing software.
  • Able to communicate and work well in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with capability to consistently meet established production and quality goals/metrics.
  • Able to effectively prioritize work on a daily basis and follow up on open items in a trimely manner.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) through National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred.
